Fire Salts

pomegranateandivy

I don’t always want actual flames when I’m using the element of fire in my work, and some people can’t have fire where they practice. This is part green witchery, and part kitchen witchery. The good thing about this is that it can be made so it’s 100% edible, and can be used in cooking, or spells where you might want to eat or drink the spell when you’re done.

You’ll need:

  • 2 parts sea salt
  • 1 part paprika
  • 1 part red pepper
  • 1 part garlic

I like to throw them all in a dry pan and heat them real quick while I mix them up. Just enough to get some of the energy and intent from the flame into the mix. The salt is just the base, it holds the energy from everything else in a real nice way, and makes it perfect for using as a spice. The paprika, red peppers, and garlic are all tied to the element fire. They’re all warming spices, and have the same effect as a fire. In small amounts, when controlled, this is a warming spice that adds just a bit of heat. Too much though, and it can burn.

These can be used to represent the element of fire at your altar, circle, as an offering, ect…anything where you might want a lit candle, you could use a jar, pinch, or pile of fire salt. Anything where you want to add the properties of fire to a spell, you can add some fire salt. Want more passion? Add a pinch of fire salt. Need some creativity and inspiration? Just a dash will do. Want to curse some jerk head? Fire salts can help you out. I also like them for protection spells and warding.

“Feeling Unwelcome” Curse

blacklikemagic

(written for nightshadeandroses)

This spell is made to make your target feel uncomfortable and paranoid, and essentially force them out of a space.

You’ll need:

Glue the googly eyes to the inside top of the jar, and around the inside of the jar if you can manage it. In the jar, put your fire salt. I recommend heating them on the stove first, like pomegranateandivy suggests, just for the extra kick. Put the representation in the jar. Bury it face up in the salt. Shake the jar a bit, and focus your energy on “turning the heat up”. Imagine them squirming, pulling on their collar like an interrogation. Screw the lid on, letting them know that eyes are on them, always.

Keep the jar someplace safe. Shake every time you want to revitalize the curse. Empty the jar and pry off the eyes when you decide the curse is up.

Anonymous asked:

Okay, so I'm looking to curse someone for the first time, but I need help. My target abused me since I was a child, and since then I've been diagnosed with ptsd because of him. He was psychically and emotionally abusive towards my mother and I, but I was never sexually abused by him. I've been away from him for 3 years, but it is still very painful because of the ptsd. Could you help me get started? (also is there anything i need to know before cursing someone for the first time?)

Hey there anon!  I’m so sorry to hear about your traumatic experiences with this person, and I hope that I’ll be able to help you out here.

The first step that you should take is to decide whether or not you want to cast a curse.  It sounds silly, since you’ve already asked about it, but it is important that you really feel confident in your decision.  There is absolutely nothing wrong with cursing those who have wronged you in my opinion, but you should still be sure that you have that confidence so that your magick work isn’t negatively affected.

Also - casting a curse usually will, by its very nature, force you to think about why you are cursing the target.  If you feel that your mental health may decide to mess with you, don’t panic - or, well, DO panic, and then get angry about it.  Anger is great for curses (imho), and if this guy is a root of your symptoms, then don’t stress if they pop up in a curse.  Or, well you know - DO stress, and then use it lol  However, I do definitely recommend that you take a mental health day (or moment) beforehand to just remind yourself that you are in control here, you are the one with the power, and you are about to smite his ass senseless, so help ye gods.  It will help, trust me <3

Beyond that, make sure that you are grounded and protected before you cast a curse (or any spell, period).  Here are a couple of resources regarding that:

And before I actually recommend any curses, here are two more great posts to read before casting any curses:

Now, for this particular situation, I would highly recommend this curse:

I think that spell fits closest to your experiences and what you want to gain from casting a curse here.  Also it calls for pretty simple (yet effective) ingredients compared to many other curses.  However, if you’re looking for something a little more hardcore (I’m honestly not sure if you are or not!), you can also check out:

Lastly!

Since it is incredibly important that you also follow a healing path for yourself, I have a couple of other links for you as well (I hope that you don’t mind!):

Good luck, anon ^_^  I hope that you find peace and success in every effort that you make <3

The actual smell of rain comes from plants. When plants are in drought they produce oils in replacement for waters. When the time comes and it finally starts raining the plants get their needed water and they release these oils in the air and the smell of that oil is what we call smell of rain

the scent is called petrichor

rozemaiden87

It’s also accompanied by geosmin, a by-product of certain actinobacteria found in wet soil. I mean, dirt totally has a smell and wet dirt definitely has a smell. It’s these two compounds, the oils from plants and the by-products in dirt that produce this awesome smell! Science! ^_^
